I am currently a student at the University of South Alabama. I am majoring in elementary education. I plan on being one of the best teachers that I could possibly be in order to help change the lives of my students for the best.

Technology in the class

Technology will be heavily incorporated in the classroom. Students will have many in-class assignments on the computer. They will have many presentation where they must use a PowerPoint to go along with their presentation. There may be a few homework assignments that they must use the computer to complete their assignment. It will be the only way they can receive the answer.

Ways I plan on teaching in the class

As a teacher I will try my hardest not to teach by the book alone. Hopefully I will be able to incorporate some fun learning activities to keep my students entertained. I want them to be eager to learn. my students will be able to have the oppurtunity to teach the class. The book will be used once every four weeks or whenever they need some busy work when they have misbehaved.

Parental Involvement in the class

Parental involvement in the classroom will be a very important to me. during the first week of school, I will personally call all of my students' parents to introduce myself and tell them how i am willing to do whatever I can to help their child succeed. Several papers will be sent home to parents informing them of classroom needs, requests for parental volunteers, and general information forms. I hope to have as many parent volunteers as possible. i will continue to call parents regarding behavior/academic issues (as well as progress) to show them that I am very concern about our child.

procedures in my class

There will be many procedures for my students to follow that will be routine to them by the third week of school. The following things will have a procedure and will become routine to all students: morning procedures, severe weather/fire drills, how they will keep their notebooks together, how they will come to attention, cafeteria/lunch procedures, and other important things that will become second nature to them.

Blogs in my classroom

Blogs will be and can be used for many reasons. I will probably use blogs in my class to share with the internet world how my class progress as a whole. parents will also be able to access the blogs to get any announcements that their child may not have told them about. The blog will display homework assignment for students to look upon if they are absent from school. the blog will also display important dates and other important information that my parents and teachers may need.
